Our focus is primarily in technologies that we understand best but we are also opportunistic and will look in other industries for companies with the potential to generate exceptional returns.
Geography
We specialize in identifying promising companies in locations that other VC firms don’t. We focus on areas throughout the United States that are rich with startup opportunities but underserved by early-stage investors. We have a particularly strong presence in the Denver-Boulder region, and we have strong connections to Washington D.C., San Diego, and Chicago areas.
People
Must be underrepresented: women, ethnically diverse, or from other socially or economically disadvantaged groups like immigrants, LGBTQ, physically disabled, dyslexic and learning different, etc.
Must have business concept that meets venture threshold/criteria (i.e. $20MM+ potential, 10x returns)
Must not be purely a money-play; must have other benefits, social or otherwise. No cryptocurrency, etc.
Strong preference for business concepts that benefit society as a whole or enables/empowers specific social group.
